Shipping Container Micro House Concept Project
This project is a concept developed out of curiosity
This concept project was about exploring the idea of making the space required to house two people minimum but comfortable, and to invest time in the ideology of perhaps fixing the housing crisis or at the very least providing temporary accommodation for honest less fortunate people.
With this design we wanted to use a re-purposed object to form the shell of the structure, after careful thought a large shipping container was an ideal contender, the design would have a slightly raised floor and studded internal walls that could both house wiring, pipe work and insulation, this would all be boarded in smooth plywood and painted white.
This creates the starting box for our micro house, we then put thought in what a house really needs to be livable, cosy and cost effective. The list below details the necessities and bonus features included the design. Let us know what you think or if your interested using this design.
